Move On offers a powerful reflection on contemporary Nigerian life through a blend of realism, satire, and tragedy. The play examines trauma, survival, and resilience within a society marked by political instability, violence, and corruption. As families fracture under pressure and systems fail, individuals navigate hardship shaped by terrorism, religious extremism, and economic struggle. Yet within this landscape, the play also gestures toward hope, suggesting that art, creativity, and human ingenuity can offer paths forward.

Onyeka Iwuchukwu | Nigeria
Onyeka Iwuchukwu is a playwright, director, and founder of NOUN Theatre, with over ten published plays. Her work has been presented internationally, including readings at the World International Playwriting Conference in Stockholm and the World on Stage Festival in Helsinki. Her play Enough is Enough was adapted into the film I Believe. Onyeka’s work explores contemporary social issues through a blend of realism and satire, and she has contributed to academic and theatrical communities as both a practitioner and visiting professor.

Sandie Luna | Director
Afro-Latine immigrant multidisciplinary artist, educator, doula, mother, and cultural steward based in the Bronx. She serves as Executive Director of ID Studio Theater and Lecturer in Theater Arts and Latin American & Caribbean Studies at SUNY New Paltz. A 2024 NALAC Leadership Institute Fellow and 2023 Bronx Council on the Arts BRIO Award recipient, her work explores womanhood, embodied racial identities, migration, and collective memory through interdisciplinary performance and community-centered storytelling. Recent projects include ModesTEAT: A Ritual of Reclamation, Resistance, and Return at BronxArtSpace; Todas las mariposas negras mueren en el mar at IATI Theater; Axes, Herbs, and Satchels with The Anthropologists; and Petra, an immersive work inspired by the Spofford Juvenile Detention Center.
