IATI Theater is one of New York City’s oldest Latino theater companies, founded in 1968 and recognized for innovative productions in both English and Spanish, with a focus on contemporary and cutting-edge works.

Events & Tickets

What events are coming up at IATI Theater?

IATI Theater produces events year-round, including Mainstage productions, multidisciplinary Festivals (such as PAM and Ágora), LAB Workshops, Community and Public Events, and the annual Cimientos Staged Readings Series.

How can I buy tickets for a show or event?

Tickets for plays and events are sold through TicketTailor. Fundraising event tickets use GiveButter. Never purchase tickets from unauthorized resellers or social media. For the latest event lineup and ticketing, visit our Calendar page.

Programs & Productions

What productions and festivals does IATI Theater offer?

With more than 50 years of programming, IATI has run festivals (De todo un poco, Lights On!, PAM) spotlighting international and emerging artists.
Upcoming festivals include PAM, Ágora, as well as themed events such as Mujerstory, Tertulia, Queertástico, and the Cimientos program's Staged Readings.

Rentals

Can I rent spaces at IATI Theater?

Yes! We offer three spaces:

  • Studio: Second floor rehearsal space (20’ x 40’ x 11’)

  • Mainstage Theater: 72-seat black box

  • Underground Theater: 40-seat black box
    Rates: By hour (studio), by week (theaters).

How do I book a rental, and what are the rates?

Book rehearsal studio online or inquire about theater rentals by email. Subsidized rates available for eligible BIPOC artists via Quantum Echoes.

Participation & Support

How can I get involved or volunteer at IATI Theater?

Volunteer opportunities and internships are open year-round. Sign up on our Get Involved page and join our newsletter for updates.

How do I donate to support IATI Theater?

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. You can donate securely online, where your contribution helps fund productions, education programs, and facility upkeep.

Is the theater accessible for people with disabilities?

Both ground-floor theaters are ADA-compliant, accessible by elevator.
Accessible seating: Available for all shows; check individual event pages for details.
Note: Second floor offices/rehearsal studio are not wheelchair accessible.

Who sponsors IATI Theater?

Funding comes from grants, donations, ticket and rental income, with seasonal and event sponsors listed on our website and print materials.

Can I submit a play for consideration?

We do not read unsolicited scripts. Submit your pitch deck by email, or formally apply through our annual Cimientos Play Development Program (June, English/Spanish, details at iatitheater.org/cimientos).

Can I audition for one of your shows?

Auditions are posted on Actors Access and announced via our Get Involved page. Submissions by actors, agents, and managers are welcome.
