About
A woman falls down the endless steps of La Paz. Someone stops her: not with their hands, but with their hair. From that moment on, nothing will be same. Braids become ties, bodies become shelters, and desire takes root. "Ikiñani" is a whisper inside lovesome, hurtful, feeling hair. A story of women who intertwine like threads, who fall, who seek each other, who find each other. Because sometimes, when you fall, you learn to rest.

Katy Bustillos Vila is a playwright, theater researcher, and stage director. She has been awarded first place on three occasions in the Adolfo Costa Du Rels National Playwriting Award, and she has received the 2023 Peter Travesí Canedo National Theatre Award. Her professional engagements include her participation in festivals, residencies, conferences, and programs in Bolivia, Spain, Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, Uruguay, the United States, Chile and Germany.
At the core of her artistic inquiry is a deep fascination with structure. Her dramaturgy draws from the logic of mathematics, weaving scenes like equations, seeking patterns, exploring tensions, and composing rhythms. Through this lens, she traces the invisible geometries that connect body, text, and space.
