Opening Night | Cimientos 2021
Cimientos 2021’s Virtual Opening Night will celebrate the genesis of theater: the playwright.
Our commitment remains developing new works by presenting our twenty first season of Cimientos, a play development program that has given hundreds of playwrights the foundations to explore their vanguardia through developmental workshop-panels and staged readings.
This year, we count with writers from Costa Rica, Germany, Mexico, Russia, Spain, Uganda, United Kingdom, and United States. The selected texts showcase an eclectic array of dramaturgy that spans several themes and styles, and are all unique in bending traditional playwriting conventions.
Opening Night will include messages from all ten playwrights. IATI's staff will be filming from our home on 64 E 4th Street in New York City.
