Synopsis

Not many days are left until the opening of the play An Interview for Nazanin.  Actors are practicing for the play which Ava wrote and directs. Ava's play is about Nazanin Deyhimi who staged Ariel Dorfman's play Death and the Maiden in an Iranian prison. Nazanin's life behind bars, her script, and Ava's past are all intertwined to weave a new story on stage, but no one knows how the practice will end.
