Synopsis

After being taken, imprisoned and tortured for what has been deemed a “shameful” lifestyle, a man returns to his hometown to face the person who will determine his fate.  As the clock inches towards a final decision, the battle for life, truth and understanding is shaken by unexpected revelations that challenge preconceived ideas and the true meaning of unconditional love.

About the Playwright

MFA - Southern Methodist University.  Member of Dramatists Guild.  Recent: Barceló On The Rocks (HOLA award-outstanding achievement in playwriting.  O'Neill semi-finalist.) - Raíces Theater Company, Buffalo.  Ashes Of Light - Urban Theater Company, Chicago.  La Luz De Un Cigarrillo (HOLA and Soberano award-outstanding achievement in playwriting) - Teatro La Mueca, Argentina.  In The Name Of Salomé (HOLA, ACE, ATI and LATA award-outstanding achievement in playwriting) -  Spanish Repertory Theater, NY.  Recipient of a Banff International Literary Translation Centre Writing Residency in Alberta, Canada and CUNY Dominican Studies Fellowship. Was recently given the "Rising Star Award" by the New York Dominican Parade.
