Synopsis
The actor's craft is not to act, it is to become.
Are you willing to become? Then…
Leave the actor behind and embrace the character and its world.
Workshop Learning Objectives
• Application of the original method Actor’s Conscious Unconscious for the preparation or rehearsal of the actor¬.
• The ultimate objective of the work in the actors’ preparation is to establish four connections. These four connections must be evident in the scene presentation of the final showcase that will take place at the end of the second term. The connections are:
1. First connection: with the self.
2. Second connection: with the ensemble, through collective interrelation.
3. Third connection: mental and spiritual contact with our origins.
4. Fourth connection: with the audience on the day of the scene presentation.
The workshop will consist of the above basic stages in the process of the actors’ universe, all stemming from the methodology Actor’s Conscious Unconscious. It will then be divided in 2 terms. Although enrolling in both parts of the workshops is not obligatory, the instructor has designed the workshops to be taken consecutively in order to maximize growth as an actor. Also, to enroll only in Workshop Part II, an interview and audition might be requested to ensure the level of the applicant is appropriate.
