WALL is a play that explores emotional, psychological, spiritual and human truth about giving up everything you believe in for a chance at happiness. Four town friends play a folklore ball game by the border wall until the beast arrives and forces them to change.

About the Playwright

Juan Ramirez, Jr. is a writer, actor and director. His latest plays are Love Diplomats with Raíces Theatre Company's (2016), Desde El Puente, Short + Sweet International Festival in Sydney, Australia. Love In All The Right Places at Ophelia Theatre Group and Manhattan Repertory Company, There’s A Wolf At The Door also at Manhattan Rep, and The Safety of Strangers, a one-act festival of various work at Theatre Row. The American Dream is a semi-finalist for 2016 Stage Left Theatre's Downstage Left Residency, Jimmy’s Tab is a 2011 Princess Grace semi-finalist, Walk The Bronx is a 2015 Downtown Urban Theater Festival Finalist and Villa Of Life is a 2014 NYU graduate screenplay finalist. He received his B.A. from Lehman College and his MFA from NYU Tisch.
