During the 2008 final match of the Copa del Rey (King´s Football Cup), fans of Athletic Bilbao and Barcelona FC, among which there were supporters of independence for the Basque Country and Catalonia, booed the Spanish national anthem just in the presence of the king.  For this match was censored in TVE, provoking a media scandal against public television.  TVE's headquarters decided to instigate a purge among their employees, making them responsible for what had happened.

!!!” is the story of the two men who were in charge of interrogating two directors of the company that became inquisitors of their peers.  A story in which the struggle for power, the plot of directives classes, exploitation of the lower classes, the manipulation of information and the destruction of democratic rules knows no bounds.

About the Playwright:

Spanish Playwright, Novelist, Screenwriter and Audiovisual Producer. His awards include Calderón de la Barca, Lope de Vega, Born, El Espectáculo Teatral, Rojas Zorrilla, and SGAE. Since 1994, his work has been staged and translated in several languages.  His plays have been produced throughout Europe and Latinamerica.  Player Game/The Image Persistence was part of the anthology Short Drama between Two Centuries edited by Virtudes Serrano for the Editorial Catedra.  It was produced and staged by the Centro Dramático Nacional (May-June 2005).  He has also participated in other anthologies, including Brief Spanish Theatre, complied by Francisco G. Carbajo for Clásicos Castalia (2013).  He directed the films Escuadra Hacia la Muerte (2007), Ante de Morir Piensa en Mí (2008) and 24 Horas en la Vida de Querejeta (2012).
