[rapture play] explores the possibility of Harold Camping’s anticipated rapture on May 21, 2011, as a reality. The play begins with sharp-tongued teen Kendra and her by-the-book older brother Tommy anticipating the rapture. What they soon realize is while Camping’s theory was correct, no one could have predicted what God had in store. Dark and humorous, cynical and hopeful, [rapture play] is an exploration of faith and what, if anything, is worth believing in.
