Palisade 2515 tells the story of Daniela, a Hispanic woman who acquires her first home at Palisade Avenue in New Jersey after many years of arduous work in the United States. Pucho, a Puerto Rican handyman who was originally hired to fix a small leak, convinces Daniela to conduct major repairs to the house with the alleged purpose of properly improving the property. The house represents the American dream which turns fragile as the bleak future of her son, Cuauhtemoc, begins to be obliquely revealed. Daniela must face the imaginary world of her child who claims to have “a friend whose head has been replaced.” All the while, Daniela is in danger of losing her house. In a mystic and spiritual manner, Daniela and her son face the fear of losing each other and even themselves.
